Michelle Antanovich, brings a wealth of medical experience to the community as the certified registered nurse practitioner and Clinical Lead at Healthy Directions. A native of Hudson, N.Y., Michelle earned a BSN in Nursing at Waynesburg University and an MSN at West Virginia University where she obtained her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. For nine years she provided care to people of all ages as a Nurse Practitioner at a rural clinic in Mount Morris Pa. She then took a position with a surgical team traveling to distant areas to provide wound care and support in long-term care facilitates during state surveys. While she worked with the traveling surgical team, Michelle acquired extensive knowledge about wound care products and surgical removal of damaged wound tissue. Michelle conducted a study on skin tears and presented the evidence at a Wound Care Symposium in Arizona. Her career path led her back to Waynesburg to a position at a male correctional institution where she provided care to adult males for five years. Michelle's strong desire to return to family practice brought her to Healthy Directions. She lives in a rural community near Brownsville. She and her husband are the parents of two sons and two daughters. They share their home with two dogs - a Pomeranian and a Lab.


Tim Hohman, MSN, CRNP, NP-C

Tim Hohman may be familiar to many people who receive care at Healthy Directions. That’s because he is a native of Finleyville and he lives less than a minute from the Finleyville Giant Eagle where the health center is located. Tim brings 23 years of critical care nursing to experience to Healthy Directions. For the past six years, he was employed at UPMC Presbyterian as a hemodialysis nurse with a primary assignment to Select Specialty Hospital located within UPMC. For the past several years, he has also served as an adjunct clinical professor of Trauma /Critical Care in the undergraduate nursing program for Carlow University. His experience also includes working as a nurse intensivist/hemodialysis supervisor - a position where he provided staff education, established policies and procedures as well as participating on the hospital's Magnet committee to earn the prestigious Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Tim also served as a critical care staff/clinical coordinator and critical care resource nurse instructing pulmonary and renal systems of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses approved critical care courses offered through Jefferson Regional Health System. Tim received his diploma in Nursing from St. Francis Professional School of Nursing. He earned his BSN at Carlow College and his MSN/FNP from Carlow University. In 2009, he was honored as a Cameos of Caring® Award nominee for UPMC's 11-D Renal Unit. Sponsored by the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Nursing, the prestigious Cameos of Caring Award recognizes nurses who demonstrate excellence in nursing care, serve as advocates for patients and families, and embodies the essence of the nursing profession. He also received UPMC's "Above and Beyond" honorable mention. Tim is a professional member of the Sigma-Theta-Tau, Eta Epsilon Chapter at Carlow, which is the International Honor Society of Nursing. Tim intends on completing his doctorate of Nursing Practice in the near future.


Deanna Nemec, CRNP

Deanna Nemec has an extensive background in health care and enjoys caring for people of all ages. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and started her nursing career as a surgical/transplant nurse at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. She was employed as a nurse manager for ten years before returning to graduate school. She attended Westmoreland/LaRoche's nurse anesthesia program, obtained her certificate in educational psychology from Carlow University, and graduated from LaRoche with her Masters of Science degree in Nursing as a nurse practitioner in 1997.

Deanna worked for nine years in obstetrics and gynecology, two and one half years in internal medicine, and is presently employed in family practice in Rostraver. She provides comprehensive health care for newborns through the geriatric years.

Deanna's goals as a provider are disease prevention and health promotion. She is passionate about the prevention of diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis, and she enjoys counseling patients regarding healthier food choices, exercise and other lifestyle changes for optimal health.

She has been affiliated with Healthy Directions since the facility opened, and is available on occasional weekends to handle your health care needs.

Deanna resides in Monongahela with her four sons, two dogs, two parrots, cockatiel, and a tank full of huge fish. She enjoys spending time with her family, biking, camping, exercising, gardening and watching her sons participate in their athletic activities.


Marchelle McGrew, CRNP

Marchelle McGrew comes to Healthy Directions enthusiastic and eager to provide quality care in situations where patients seek thorough speedy treatment. She graduated from Waynesburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career working on the skilled nursing unit at Frick Hospital, part of Excela Health, for one year before taking a position in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit at Frick. There, she spent nine years caring for patients pre and post operatively, along with educating patients and families regarding their procedures and discharge instructions. She then specialized in Gastroenterology and worked in the GI unit for six years alongside highly trained physicians doing innovative procedures with state-of-the-art equipment. While at Frick, she served on several committees - her favorite being Service Champion, which dealt with patient satisfaction/customer service. She worked at Westmorland Gastroenterology Associates in their office for three years, while maintaining her position at Frick. In 2009 she began classes at Carlow University for her Master's degree in Nursing. She was the inaugural recipient for the Dr. Thomas Gessner health care scholarship. After graduation she began her career as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice in Connellsville, Pa. full time, while helping out at Healthy Directions.

Marchelle has extensive experience in Family Medicine with patients ranging from one day old and up. She is a huge advocate for Health Promotion/Maintenance and Disease Prevention.

Originally from Meadville, Pa., Marchelle now resides in Belle Vernon with her husband and two sons, ages 13 and 8. She is active with her children in sports and Boy Scouts. Marchelle's hobbies include craft shows, going to the gym and being with friends and family.


Holly Espey, CMA

Holly Espey, certified medical assistant, is busy when she is at Healthy Directions, but it does not compare to her hectic life at home. Her husband and four daughters keep her running from cheerleading to softball and much more. Holly is an experienced phlebotomist who gently draws blood. She brings six years of experience from the Centerville Clinics in Charleroi. She attended Douglas School of Business and is a native of the Valley.


Gina Jesus, CMA

Charleroi native Gina Jesus is a medical assistant who earned her associate degree from Douglas Education Center. Prior to joining the staff at Healthy Directions, Gina was employed at Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services (SPHS) Primary Care Center in Family Practice and as an Emergency Department technician at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. As resident of Monessen, Gina is the mother of one son, James, who attends Westmoreland Community College. She enjoys spending time with her significant other of 23 years, as well as with family and friends. Gina also likes to relax at the beach or to play with her dogs - a Sheltie named Bella, and a Yorkiepoo named Coda.

Tina Lynn lives in North Charleroi with her husband and five children. She attends Douglas Education Center and is in her fourth and final semester in the Medical Assistant Program. She previously worked as a Nursing Assistant for a hospital in West Virginia and as a Home Health Aid for Hospice. Tina takes great pride in helping others and doing her best to assist in the health and well being of others. Her hobbies are spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, crafts and reading.
